About this project
Google reached out and asked if we could help with a festival they were hosting… the following week!
They wanted a car equipped with multiple cameras to capture everything happening inside. The setup needed bespoke software that could switch between video feeds based on movement, automatically create a movie, and email it to the visitor.
In addition, they requested a bullet time rig for a separate stand, along with full staffing for both setups.
Within just a week, we developed the software, designed and built a custom camera system for the car, created backdrops, set up a display monitor system to show lyrics for participants, and built an activation button to kickstart the process. We also implemented a social media sharing platform to email the auto-produced videos directly on-site.
It was a frantic week filled with minimal sleep and plenty of stress, but we pulled it off. Everything went live, ran smoothly all day, and performed flawlessly as acts like 50 Cent and Kylie performed just a few metres away.
To top it all off, James Corden stopped by, sparking a fun argument about who invented carpool karaoke—obviously, it was us!
