I have just made a simple website for my mum who knits and sells jumpers and hats (bless her lol), and she was struggling to do the basic things on her site, so i made this simple admin module for her.

All it does is display on the home page of her administration system quick links to the manual and demo plaza videos.

The videos below are for the slightly older version of Virtuemart 1.0, so it may look slightly different, but most of the forms and fields are identical.

Edit the store info, such as description, logo and address etc included on the invoices.

Manufacturers allow you to display products, by only that manufacturer, so only TVs made by Sony will be shown for example. A menu can be added to show a list of manufacturers, this will help your visitors find the product they are looking for.

Coupons, these allow you to give discounts to individuals or groups of people

To add something like this, go to into your Administrator panel > Extensions > Module Manager > Administrator (tab).

In here choose to add a new Module then choose "mod_custom", then select the "cpanel" position. Now go to the forum thread above and choose the html code I added to the post and add it to the module through your editor with HTML selected.

 

Now publish and you will have a module on your home page for your client to reference when ever they need.
